INTRAC TO SELL AND SERVICE MOXY PRODUCTS IN THE BALTIC STATES

27th September 2007

With a declared mission to expand its dealer network across Europe, Moxy Engineering, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of articulated dump trucks, has announced the appointment of the INTRAC Group to develop the sales and service of Moxy products in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The INTRAC Group has been marketing heavy machinery and equipment in the Baltics since the 1970s. To meet an increasing demand for products as well as improving existing and potential customer service and support, subsidiaries were established in all three countries during 1994. Since then it has become a leading machinery dealer in the region with market shares of between 20% and 80% in its different business lines. Today, as a key distributor in the region, the Group will manage the distribution of Moxy products and spare parts through its 11 locations in the three Baltic countries.

Fredrik Brandhorst, INTRAC’s marketing director, says: “We are pleased to have been appointed Moxy dealers for the Baltic region as the Moxy product line will sit comfortably with our current offering for the earthmoving business. Besides Moxy we sell and serve equipment from Case, Bomag, CompAir, Hydrema, Manitou and Potain. Moreover we also distribute John Deere forestry machines and Kalmar heavy lifting equipment. The three Baltic econonomies have during the last years been in a very strong growth phase which has resulted in a rapidly growing demand for professional machinery. We estimate overall sales of ADTs this coming year in the region to between five and ten units. We will make our best to take as big part of this as possible. Quarries and gravel pits are the main customer groups and we belive the Moxy MT31 will fit very well for this application.”

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, the INTRAC Group was previously part of the Finnish trading company Thomesto OY. The group management together with the Baltic Investment Fund undertook a management buyout in 2002. In June this year Catella Private Equity became a new shareholder through a direct share issue, an investment which will provide INTRAC with the financial resources for further expansion. Currently, more than 210 people are employed by the Group and the forecasted turnover for 2007 is around €100 million.

Jonathan Silvester, Moxy Engineering’s marketing manager, says: “I am delighted that the INTRAC Group has joined our European dealer network. I’m sure present and potential Moxy cutomers in all three countries will gain from the considerable expertise of a strong organisation with a wealth of experience in the construction plant industry.”
